Find your calm

Cut it. Colour it.
Cure it.

A reprieve from the everything of everyday — a calm coastal salon where hustle is put on a shelf and peace is applied like a balm. Every gender, every texture, zero judgment.

First time booking colour with us? Your 15-minute consultation is complimentary.

We serve people, not bias

All genders, ethnicities, abilities, identities and hair types are welcome here. We are proud members of the Dresscode Project — an alliance of salons providing judgment-free safe spaces for the queer community.

Gender-neutral, time-based pricing

You pay for the time in the chair and the product on your hair — never a category. Specialist $95/hr, Studio $80/hr, and product is measured with SalonScale so you're charged accurately for what your hair actually used.

Education, always

Every appointment teaches you your own hair — products, application, and a routine you can actually repeat at home. You leave knowing more than when you arrived.

Not flashy. Not trendy.
An oasis.

The Seahorse Salon was founded by Jenn Ghaney on a simple vision: a reprieve from the everything of everyday. A place where the hustle and bustle is put up on a shelf, and peace and relaxation are applied like a balm.

This is not a flashy, trendy place full of noise and chaos. It's an oasis — welcoming to all of the world's genders and hair types, where our team is artistic, knowledgeable, and committed to our craft and to your comfort.

Come as you are. Leave a little lighter.

Reemerge rejuvenated.

Nafiseh “Nafi” Vadood

Ledon Wellon

Studio Stylist · Natural Texture Specialist

she/her · $80/hr

A curl specialist since 2008, Ledon helps clients embrace and understand their natural hair.

On maternity leave until December 2026 — not currently booking.

Your first curly appointment is a two-hour experience.

We cut curls dry, so we can see your hair's natural canvas exactly as it lives. Arrive with your hair clean and worn down — no ponytail, no bun — and we'll spend the visit on your hair and on you: the right products, how to apply them, and a routine built around your real life.

Return visits keep the shape honest — seasonal trims and shaping, coaching for winter dryness and summer humidity. Some clients see us every six weeks; some, three times a year. Your curls set the schedule.

Curly Information Session

~1 hour

Everything about your curls — without the cut. A wash and a full styling lesson: products, application, and how to recreate it at home.

Cut & Run

20–60 min · existing clients, after your third visit

A dry maintenance cut for returning curls. Arrive clean and styled, the way you wear it.

Curly Style

60 min

Styling done for you — washed, set, and finished, for an event or just because.

The menu
